Drop what you are doing and go rent "Reefer Madness" then tell me that isn't the most hilarious, awesome movie ever. Especially the song "Listen to Jesus Jimmy"
I'm serious. Do it. Now

I very much need a new job, and not just cause I had an AWFUL day at work. It's just sucking more and more everyday. Now there is no chance of promotion because they demoted 2 project managers and transferred a supervisor. It's just killing me. I have learned that the harder you work and the better employee you are the more they fuck you over until you leave. I like the company and I like my co-workers and how much I get paid and my benefits but I HATE my job. It's giving me nightmares and I spend my time off thinking about what I'm going to do when I'm there. Anyone have good Biotech jobs they can get me? Preferably with PLANTS |

I got 580 verbal and 550 math. Is that good? Anyone know what an "average" score is? 400? Now I can focus on the fact that it's Mike's birthday. Happy 23 years! He got a cool present. Also I have to pay a bunch of bills and my rent, cause I forgot to pay rent. |

| GRE N'stuff |
[Nov. 3rd, 2005|05:03 pm] |
Just thought I would try out the new "My LJ" dealy they have now. Looks ok.
GRE is in the morning. Scared shitless let me tell you. I have decided to wait to apply until next year since the application process was freaking me out too badly. Plus I'm not ready to go back to school. I would like to have my PhD by the time I'm 30, so I have a couple of years. Just scared that I'll eff up the GRE so badly they laugh in my face. I guess I can always take it again next year.
I didn't get an admission ticket. Do I need one for the general test? I got one for the subject test, that's why I'm worried.
Everyone wish me luck.
PS It's Mike's birthday tommorrow, so call and e-mail happy birthdays. |

Things aren't going so hot at work . . . They demoted 2 project managers and 2 supervisors are on the way. People just don't want that many new lines I guess. Most of the money is in phenotyping. Which CRL does . . . just not my department. *sigh* |

| | The Priss Deliberate Brutal Love Dreamer (DBLDf)
Mature. Responsible. Aristocratic. Excuse me. The Priss.
Prisses are the smartest of all female types. You're highly perceptive, and confident in your judgements. You'd take brutal honesty over superficiality any time--your friends always know where they stand with you. You're completely unfake. Don't tell me that's not a word. You're also excellent at redirecting internal negative energy.
These facts indicate people are often intimidated by you. They also fall for you, hard. You have a distant, composed allure that many find irresistible. If only more of them lived up to your standards.
Your exact opposite: The Playstation Random Gentle Sex Master | You were probably the last among your friends to have sex. And the first to pretend that you're pregnant. LOL. Though you're inclined to use sex as weapon, at least it's not as one of mass destruction. You're choosier than most about your partners. A supportive relationship is what you're really after. Whether you know it or not, you need something steady & long-term. And soothing.
ALWAYS AVOID: The Playboy, The Loverboy
CONSIDER: The Manchild |

| [ | mood |
| | lethargic | ] | Well . . . Last weekend I saw Blueman Group for the 4th time. They have added some things, but they are all good things. No more "White Rabbit", which made me a little sad, but "Like a Virgin" was pretty damn funny. It was a wonderful evening in Boston, and Mike got to see them for the first time. *sigh* Sometimes I wish I lived closer . . .
Mike had his Wisdom teeth out on Thursday. All 4, all impacted. Not good. He's healing alright, but he's been sleeping a lot from the drugs and the pain. I feel bad, I want to be able to make it all go away, but it's hard. I've been doing everything I can. Hopefully he'll be alright for at least half a day of work tomorrow. Think happy thoughts for him.
I saw Corpse Bride, and it was good. It wasn't amazing, and it wasn't Nightmare, but it was good. I liked it. I was a little dissaointed in Danny Elfman, I think he's past his prime. It just wasn't as amazing as I would have hoped.
Last night I went to see the New England Revolution (major league soccer) kick the pants of the New Jersey Metrostars. (ie: they won 1-0) It was a great game and they scored the point in minute 87 (out of 90). I had never been to Gillette Stadium before (where the Patriots play) It's HUGE. I was very impressed. It wa slike daylight in there, I can only imagine the Co2 output required to generate that electricity, there must be a hole in the ozone over Foxborough.
I watched Midsummer tonight, the Kevin Kline one. I've seen it several times before but I've never noticed Bill Irwin is in it. He plays Wall. He is the best actor in the world. I love him. :-) I have also decided the real dog makes it much better and all performances of Midsummer should have real dogs. Third and lastly, I have noticed a burning desire to be on stage again. I mean burning. Any ideas? |

My uncle and cousin from England are visiting this week. I live far away so I haven't actually seen them yet, but we are all going to Water Country (a huge water park) tommorrow. I hope it warms up a little bit.
I'm upset. Mike doesn't have any friends here and he is getting lonely. It must be so hard only knowing one person somewhere. I would be scared. He doesn't like going to Merrimack every weekend. We spend a lot of time at my parents house. I love my family, and I've missed them so badly while I was in college, I can't avoid them. Plus my dad is old. . . and well I don't want to think about that. I just wish he could do something with his friends, and not always my friends and my family. He doesn't do anything to make friends though. I don't want to leave him home, but I feel like I drag him everywhere. I don't know what to do. |

| FRAT FIRE |
[Aug. 22nd, 2005|06:03 pm] |
My post seems to have gotten lost so here we go again:
My brothers frat house burned on Saturday morning. They are alright. No one got hurt. Their stuff is mostly gone, and their cars are wrecked from the heat. WPI is finding them all places to stay. It's pretty scary though. The firefighters figured they would have to pull out dead bodies, but no one was even hurt.
see the picture from the Boston Globe
http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2005/08/22/fire_hits_wpi_fraternity_house/
pretty scary, my mom didn't sleep well after that.
If you want to send him/them cards or anything just IM me or e-mail me and I'll give you the address of the smaller not burned frat house. |

| | uncomfortable | ] | Yesterday Katie, Dan, Mum, Mike and I went to the beach. I was very fun. There were a lot of people, but we found space. We ate sandwiches and played in the icy water. We all got sunburnt too. I haven't been sunburnt in many years, so it's very bad. I bought aloe with lidocaine in it. It's helping somewhat, but all of my skin hurts. After the beach we went to Portsmouth and shopped around, my mother bought me a beautiful necklace at a craft fair. It is wonderful. We had dinner at the Portsmouth brewery, and my mum got brought a sausage pizza, even though she ordered a vegitarian pizza. They made a new one, but it didn't come until the rest of us were done. They didn't even give her a discount or anything, so we stole 3 pint glasses to make up for the stress. *sigh* |

| Hermit Island!! |
[Jul. 5th, 2005|08:46 pm] |
ATTN: POST 401!
Ok, Hermit Island: 4 people and 1 car per campsite. Ocean Prime sites are 53 a night and prime campsites are 47 a night. I suggest one Friday night and one Saturday Night. It works out to be: about $27 a person plus food and gas. Does that sound do-able? If we super car pool and bring all of our food post style, then it will work. If I get an exact list of people I will take care of reservations, and you can all pay me when we meet up. What weekend in Agust/Sept is best? Everyone tell me what they CAN'T do. Spread the word! |

| | tired | ] | Birthday was much fun. I had many exiting birthday adventures, including Margaritas! and lots of them. (Well, 2 but it FELT like a lot). I wore a silly crown and we went to a toy store and a yard sale at a Victoria house. (Never have I seen items for $95 at a yard sale before. They were huge antiques that were worth the price, but at a yard sale?)
Got to see many super fun people. Except Derek who bailed on me, probably for a girl... So boo to him! Everyone be mad a Derek with me.
Furniture is coming today, sometime between 7-10. So It's 7:06 . . . waiting . . . waiting . . . |
